Why a quarter-by-quarter lineup?

Most youth soccer is played in quarters or halves with free substitution at the breaks, and most leagues expect every child to play a fair share of the game. Writing the lineup down by quarter, with the bench listed underneath, is the simplest way to check that before kick-off: you can see who starts where, who comes on, and that nobody is sitting out twice while a teammate plays the whole game.

A written sheet also makes substitutions calmer. Hand a copy to your assistant coach, call the changes at the whistle, and spend the quarter watching the game instead of doing arithmetic.

Want it filled in for you?

The free SOXY app does the parts a web page cannot. It keeps your roster, knows which players have said they are coming, and fills all four quarters so playing time comes out even. It rotates the goalkeeper, lets you drag players between positions, saves a lineup for every game, and prints this same sheet with the field, both coaches and the referees already on it.
