The head-count problem

Nothing shapes a youth soccer game more than how many players turn up. Eight kids instead of twelve changes the lineup, the substitutions and sometimes whether you can play at all. Coaches usually find out in the parking lot.

SOXY asks every family the same simple question for each game and practice: going, maybe, or can't make it. Answering takes one tap from the game-day card, the schedule or a notification.

Answers shown by player, not by parent

A coach thinks in players, not in whoever happens to hold the phone. SOXY links each parent account to their child on the roster, so the RSVP list reads "Maya, number 7" rather than a parent's name. If two parents are linked to one player, an answer from either counts once.

The list is grouped into going, maybe, not going and no reply, with a count for each, so you can read the state of Saturday in a glance.

A polite nudge for the rest

There are always a few families who mean to answer and forget. Coaches can send a reminder to just the people who have not replied, instead of pestering the whole team again.

RSVPs that feed the lineup

When you build a lineup in SOXY, players whose families said they cannot come are left out automatically, and everyone else is available. Auto-fill then shares the quarters fairly among the players who will actually be there.

How it works

  1. Add a game or practice to the schedule.
  2. Each family taps Going, Maybe or Can't make it.
  3. Open the event to see answers by player.
  4. Tap remind to nudge anyone who has not replied.

Questions

Can both parents RSVP for the same player?

Yes. Both parents can be linked to their child on the roster. If one answers, the player shows as answered; the player is never counted twice.

Can I see who has not answered?

Yes. The RSVP list has a separate group for families who have not replied, and a coach can send a reminder to just that group.

Do RSVPs work for practices as well as games?

Yes. Every event on the schedule can collect RSVPs, including practices, friendlies and team events such as the end-of-season party.

Can parents change their answer?

Yes, right up to the event. Tap a different answer and the list updates for the coach immediately.
