Where the money goes

SOXY is built and run by a volunteer youth soccer coach, in the evenings, alongside coaching a team of their own. There are no ads in the app and no paid plan. What it does have is bills: servers and the database that hold every team's schedule and messages, notification delivery, the yearly developer fees Apple and Google charge to keep an app in their stores, and the domain.

A contribution goes toward those costs first. Anything beyond that buys time to build the things coaches keep asking for.

What a contribution is, and is not

• It is optional. SOXY works exactly the same whether you give or not. Paying does not unlock any feature, remove any limit or change anything in your account.
• It is not a purchase. You are not buying a product or a subscription, so there is nothing to deliver and nothing to cancel.
• It is not tax-deductible. SOXY is not a registered charity or nonprofit. This is a voluntary contribution to an independent app, not a charitable donation.
• It goes through PayPal. You pay on PayPal's own page, with a PayPal balance or a card. SOXY never sees or stores your card details.

Other ways to help

Money is not the only useful thing. Telling another coach about SOXY, sharing the free lineup sheet maker with your league, or leaving a review in the App Store or Google Play all help a small app more than you might think. And if something is broken or missing, tell us.
